Biography
Mary Santarelli is a Wisconsin-based writer fueled by strong coffee and the thrill of putting words on a page. She holds an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Queens University of Charlotte and a B.A. in English Communications from Mount Mary University. Whether she’s crafting a screenplay, a stage play, or jotting scene ideas on the back of a napkin, Mary brings a storyteller’s instinct to everything she does.
Her early work in journalism, publication design, and nonprofit marketing deepened her reverence for the alchemy of language—its power to stir memory, spark emotion, and draw us closer to one another. She’s long believed that storytelling is more than craft… it’s pure magic.
Mary is also passionate about helping others find their voice—especially older adults—through memoir workshops rooted in connection and a few good laughs. When she’s not writing, she’s probably thinking about writing… or refilling her coffee.

My mission is to craft stories that resonate with audiences, and to help others discover the power of their own voice along the way. I write to uncover beauty and meaning in unlikely places.
